The DeLonghi espresso machine is a popular choice for many coffee lovers, but it’s not immune to problems. One common issue that DeLonghi owners face is water leakage from the bottom of the machine.

There are several possible reasons for this issue:

The water tank is not properly secured: Make sure that the water tank is properly attached to the machine. If it’s not, it can cause leaks.

The gasket is damaged: The gasket is a rubber ring that helps seal the water tank. If it’s damaged, it can cause leaks.

The espresso machine is overfilled: DeLonghi machines have a max fill line on the water tank. If you fill it past this line, it can cause water to leak out.

The steam wand is not properly secured: The steam wand is used to froth milk for lattes and cappuccinos. If it’s not properly secured, it can allow water to escape from the machine.

The filters are clogged: The filters in your DeLonghi machine can become clogged over time. When this happens, they can’t properly strain the water, leading to leaks.

Solution 1: Check the water tank

The first thing you should do if your DeLonghi espresso machine leaking water from bottom, then it is to check the water tank. Ensure that it’s properly attached to the machine and that there are no cracks or leaks in the tank itself.

If everything looks fine with the water tank, move on to the next solution.

Solution 2: Check the gasket

The gasket is a rubber ring that helps seal the water tank. If it’s damaged, it can cause leaks. To check the gasket, remove the water tank and look at the rubber ring.

If you see any cracks or damage, it’s time to replace the gasket. You can buy a replacement gasket from DeLonghi or most home improvement stores.

Solution 3: Check the filters

The filters in your DeLonghi espresso machine can become clogged over time. When this happens, they can’t properly strain the water, leading to leaks.

To clean the filters, remove them from the machine and soak them in equal parts water and vinegar for 30 minutes. After they’ve soaked, rinse them off with water and reattach them to the machine.

Solution 4: Check the steam wand

The steam wand is used to froth milk for lattes and cappuccinos. If it’s not properly secured, it can allow water to escape from the machine.

To check the steam wand, remove the frothing pitcher and ensure that the wand is tight in its socket. If it’s loose, tighten it down with a wrench.

Solution 5: Check the max fill line
